What problems do our local communities face? How does it compare to other communities? Crucially, how do you know?
Impactful research often necessitates going back into primary data to motivate what we work on and why. In this, we can challenge long-standing assumptions of the field, and understand how the world has changed since your favorite review article was published a decade ago. Re-analyzing massive data sets with the framing of specific communities permits us to effectively tailor our own research.
We have compiled a series of infographics to synthesize our findings focusing on Hawaii and the US Territories (Puerto Rico, the USVI, the Northern Marianas Islands, Guam and American Samoa), drawing from publicly available databases, studies and surveys.
